FAQ
Support Coordination — Common Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often about this service.
A Support Coordinator helps you understand and implement your NDIS plan. They connect you with providers, help you navigate the NDIS system, coordinate multiple services, resolve issues, prepare for plan reviews, and build your capacity to manage your own supports over time.
Not necessarily. If your plan is simple and you're confident navigating the NDIS, you may not need one. However, if you have complex needs, multiple providers, or are new to the NDIS, a Support Coordinator can save you time, stress, and help you make the most of your funding.
Support Coordination helps most participants implement their plans and connect with services. Specialist Support Coordination is a higher-level service for participants with particularly complex needs or situations — such as those at risk of homelessness, involvement with the justice system, or very complex health and behaviour support needs.
Yes. One of the most valuable things a Support Coordinator does is prepare you for your NDIS plan review. They'll help you gather evidence, document your progress, identify unmet needs, and attend the meeting with you to ensure your new plan reflects your actual situation.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that funds supports and services for people with a permanent and significant disability. Once approved, you receive an individual plan with funding allocated across three budget categories: Core, Capacity Building, and Capital Supports. You choose how and with whom you use your funding.
To be eligible you generally need to be under 65 years of age, an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Special Category Visa holder, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your daily life. You can check eligibility at ndis.gov.au or call us — our team will help you understand your options at no cost.
No. Our initial consultation is completely free and no-obligation. We'll discuss your goals, explain our services, and help you understand how your NDIS funding can be used — before you commit to anything.
