FAQ
Daily Living Support — Common Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often about this service.
Our support workers can assist with a wide range of daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry, shopping, medication reminders, and maintaining a daily routine. Support is always tailored to your specific needs and goals.
We do our best to provide consistency by assigning you a primary support worker. We understand that familiarity and trust are important. When your regular worker is unavailable, we'll introduce any replacement in advance.
Our goal is always to build your independence and confidence, not create reliance. We take a skills-building approach — supporting you to do as much as you're comfortable with, and stepping back as your capabilities grow. Your goals guide every decision.
Yes. We work around your schedule and preferences. Support can be arranged mornings, evenings, weekends, or any combination that suits your routine.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that funds supports and services for people with a permanent and significant disability. Once approved, you receive an individual plan with funding allocated across three budget categories: Core, Capacity Building, and Capital Supports. You choose how and with whom you use your funding.
To be eligible you generally need to be under 65 years of age, an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Special Category Visa holder, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your daily life. You can check eligibility at ndis.gov.au or call us — our team will help you understand your options at no cost.
No. Our initial consultation is completely free and no-obligation. We'll discuss your goals, explain our services, and help you understand how your NDIS funding can be used — before you commit to anything.
